A practical guide to choosing heat tools, using the right temperature, and protecting your hair while styling.
Pick the tool for the job
A dryer attachment controls airflow. A flat iron can smooth or create bends. Curling irons make different shapes depending on barrel size. You do not need every tool on the shelf. You need the one that works for your hair and the result you want.
Turn the heat down first
Fine, lightened, or fragile hair usually needs less heat than coarse, resistant hair. Start lower. Work in clean sections, and stop making repeated passes over the same spot. More heat is not the same as better technique.
Dry means dry
