How I got here
West Texas made me practical. Hair keeps me curious.
I grew up in the Panhandle and studied cosmetology at South Plains College, graduating in 2004. I’ve spent over twenty years behind the chair since then, and I’m still interested because no two heads of hair behave exactly alike.
There is chemistry in color. There is geometry in a haircut and structure in a formal style. Then there is the creative problem-solving that happens when the inspiration photo meets real hair with its own texture, density, condition, and history. That combination suits me.
Color is where I get especially excited, from believable dimension to vivid, expressive work. Experience has also taught me when to slow down. If the hair needs a smaller step, a different goal, or another appointment, I’ll say it plainly.
I keep learning, keep asking questions, and share what I know when other stylists ask for another set of experienced eyes. Twenty years does not make hair predictable. It makes me better at reading what is in front of me.
See how I think about colorWorking together over time
The better I know your hair, the better we can plan what comes next.
Over time, I learn how your hair grows, how it responds to color, where it gets bulky, and what happened before you sat in my chair. I remember what worked, what did not, and how much styling you will realistically do at home.
That history makes the next decision easier. We can adjust maintenance, protect the condition of the hair, and work toward a bigger color or length goal without starting from zero at every appointment.
