Curl and movement with a plan

Perms & Texture

I offer perms and texture services at Mistykal Hair Designs in Lubbock. A perm is never one standard service. Your haircut, condition, chemical history, and the movement you want all change the plan.

A quick text is enough to start. I’ll tell you if photos, a call, or an in-person consultation makes sense.

The wrap shapes the result

A perm can create curl, wave, body, or support for styling. Rod size, wrapping pattern, sectioning, and the finished haircut all affect the way that texture sits and moves.

02

Condition gets the final vote

Lightened, colored, fragile, or highly porous hair may not be a safe candidate. I need an honest color and chemical history. If the hair says no, I’m going to listen.

Your routine will change

New texture changes how you wash, dry, and style. We’ll discuss curl behavior, products, and how much work you actually want to do at home, not an imaginary routine you will never use.

Good to know

Before your appointment

Can color-treated hair be permed?

Sometimes, but the kind of color and current strength matter. I need to assess the hair before I can give you a useful answer.

Will a perm look the same on everyone?

No. Length, density, haircut, rod choice, and natural texture all change the curl.

How should I care for new texture?

Handle it gently and use products that suit the new curl pattern. I’ll show you what the hair needs and what you can skip.

Have a question?

Text me. We’ll figure out the right next step.

You don’t need to commit to a formal consultation just to ask. Tell me what you’re considering, and I’ll let you know whether photos, a phone call, or an in-person consultation will help.
